Tehran- A meeting to evaluate performance of Shahid Bahonar Copper Ind. Co. (CPS) was held on Sunday, July 23 at the Conference Hall of Sadr Tamin Investment Company.

The performance of CPS in the first quarter of the Iranian year to March 19, 2024 was reviewed in the meeting, which was attended by senior officials and specialists from Sadr Tamin Investment Company (TASSICO) including Ali Mahmoudi, an executive board member, Seyyed Mohammad-Saber Parvaresh, deputy chief for companies’ affairs.  

Majid Ziaie, chief executive of CPS, board members and managers of the company also took part in the meeting to assess its performance in the 1^st quarter (March 21-June 21, 2023), TASSICO’s website reported.

Ziaei briefed the participants on measures taken by the company during the first three months, saying that industrial rolled products made of copper or brass of Shahid Bahonar Copper Ind. Company accounted for 90 percent of the market.

He added that the company targeted an increase in the share of domestic market to retain its place domestically and secure a foothold in foreign market.

Also, Ziaei said steps were taken to improve the company’s Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) during the three months to June 21. HSE includes practices, policies, and regulations aimed at minimizing hazards, preventing accidents and injuries, and promoting sustainable practices for helping protect employees.

Net profit, he noted, showed a 36-percent rise in the first quarter while financial targets designated by the budget were materialized by 126 percent. Meanwhile, he added that gross profit increased by 31 percent during the first three months compared to the same period of last year, showing that the budget figures materialized by 117 percent.

Shahid Bahonar Copper Ind. Company is located close to the largest copper mines of the Middle East, some 12 kilometers off the city of Kerman in south-center of Iran.
