New Member of Esfahan Steel Company Board of Directors Introduced/ Industrial Boom Top on TASSICO Agenda in 2023

CEO: TASSICO Supports Esfahan Steel Company on Sustainable Supply of Raw Material

Tehran- Ahmad Zamani Gandomani was appointed a new member of board of directors of Esfahan Steel Company by chief executive of Sadr Tamin Investment Company Amir-Hossein Naderi.

A ceremony was held on April 19 to introduce Zamani as the new member. The gathering was attended by Naderi, managing director of Sadr Tamin Investment Company, known with its stock ticker symbol as TASSICO, Seyyed Saber Parvaresh, deputy chief of TASSICO for companies’ affairs, Mahdi Kouhi, managing director of Esfahan Steel Company, other members of the board of directors and deputies of Esfahan Steel Company, according to TASSICO’s website.

Speaking at the ceremony, Naderi said that the Iranian year to March 19, 2024 would be very important for the country’s industries. He said, “His Eminence Supreme Leader (Ayatollah Ali Khamenei) announced the year on its first day as the year of “inflation control, production growth”.”

Naderi stressed that curbing inflation was necessary for the country and boosting production was the only way to do it.

He hoped that the country’s economic expansion would boost the industries. “Esfahan Steel Company and its new management team should inject new ideas into the company,” Naderi said, expressing support of Sadr Tamin Company in this regard.

The managing director noted that Esfahan Steel Company had a chain value starting with coal and TASSICO would exert efforts to sustainably supply the company with the required raw materials (coal).

He added that TASSICO would also support development projects such as coke plant development this year to boost the performance of Esfahan Steel Company.

He thanked efforts by [Iraj] Rokhsati, former managing director of Esfahan Steel Company and other managers of the firm who play a role in the economic front under tough production conditions. “I hope we will join hands to bring the country economic and industrial prosperity.”

Mehdi Kouhi, Esfahan Steel Company’s CEO, praised the achievements of Zamani who was a veteran of the field with a career extending over two decades.

Zamani, he said, used to serve as managing director of Sadr Tamin Company and shared his expertise with him when Kouhi was appointed Esfahan Steel Company’s managing director.

Kouhi also thanked his predecessor Iraj Rokhsati for his efforts and consultations.

Zamani said that he was proud of being once a simple worker at Esfahan Steel Company for five years, describing the company as the first and largest producer of steel– the mother of all industries– in the country.

“I dare to say that Esfahan Steel Company is more effective and plays a stronger role than all the country’s universities of technology,” Zamani noticed, adding that “It is a pity that such a company becomes a victim of mismanagement by the managers like us.”

He hoped the company would retake its previous status in the country and to become a source of high profits for investors.

Zamani served in various senior management positions in several companies including managing director of Sadr Tamin Company, founder and managing director of Tamin Transportation Company, chairman of board of directors and managing director of Tehran Small Industries and Industrial Parks Department.
