Tehran- A weekly meeting of the CEO of Sadr Tamin Investment Company (TASSICO) with the CEO and development managers of Pars Tamin Mines Development Company, the contractor (Avijeh Sanat Tous Company) and the consultant (Ariahangard Consultant Engineering Company) of a project to construct Madofti gold extraction plant was held on Wednesday, August 30 in the headquarters of the company.
CEO of Pars Tamin Mines Development Company, Mohammad-Nabi Nouri, briefed TASSICO CEO, Amir-Hossein Naderi, and other senior managers of the holding on the latest developments of the project to build Madofti gold extraction plant, which has had progress of 76 percent.
The engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) for the gold processing unit of the Madofti mine was officially started on Tuesday, April 4, followed by the kickoff meeting (KOM) and understanding of engineering terms with the contractor, Avijeh Sanat Tous Company.
CEO of Sadr Tamin Holding reviewed the project’s statistics, information and schedules, transportation, installation, and commissioning of the machines and other construction parts of the factory, the news website of Sadr Tamin Investment Company reported on August 30.
Naderi pointed to the measures taken so far and issued new orders for financing and solving the ongoing problems of the project by using the capacity of TASSICO nationally and internationally.
He emphasized that steps should be taken at the fastest pace with more power to open the gold bullion factory in the shortest time.
He added that the main objective of the Sadr Tamin Investment Company was to develop the least-developed regions of the country by employing local forces, investing, and generating wealth there.
Naderi explained that weekly briefings would be held to review the progress of the project in the holding, adding that the project’s development would be closely monitored and evaluated.
“I will personally visit the site every 14 days until the end of the project so that, God willing, we can finish the work on time,” Naderi stressed, promising that “As before, Sadr Tamin [Investment Company] has provided all the necessary facilities and made coordination with the provincial officials to advance the project. This support will powerfully continue until the end of the project.”
The contractor of the project to build the gold processing unit in the Madofti mine initially equipped the workshop and agreed with Newmax Company to transfer the technology after that. Then, it proceeded to receive the fundamental approvals of the project before entering into the details of the project.
The project was followed by purchasing long-term equipment to prevent any delay in the course of operation until the very final days of the implementation. Also, the engineering process including purchasing equipment and preparing engineering documents such as datasheet and material requisition (MR) forms had begun and handed over to the purchasing department of the contractor.
Long-term equipment includes a stone crusher, ball mill, filter press, compressors, pumps, diesel generators, thickener, leaching tanks, etc. The process of supplying all the equipment is in the final stage now and all the main equipment has been placed inside the site.
The preparation of the main structure and architecture plans of the project was put on the agenda provided there will be no problem in the implementation operations and the contractor can always allocate its resources. Also, the foundation of the main equipment of the designs was completed and implemented on the site and it is now ready to install the equipment.
It should also be mentioned that the installation is underway in parallel with the structural engineering of the project. It is hoped that the installation of the equipment will be completed as soon as possible and the pre-commissioning phase will begin.
Madofti gold mine is located in Taftan in the southeastern province of Sistan-Baluchestan with more than 100m tons of proven gold reserves of the grade of 1.3 parts per million (ppm). It has the largest reserves among Iran’s gold mines. The gold processing unit in Taftan, which has been underway since 2022, is planned to produce half a ton of gold bars each year, employing 150 workers.
