Iran Salts Mining Company
Iran Salts Mining Company was established in 1984. The company’s activities are based on the exploration, extraction and processing of various mineral salts, especially sodium sulfate.
Currently, the company’s production takes place in four plants, located in Garmsar and Arak, as follows:
- The Garmsar Sodium Sulfate Production Plant - established in 1994;
- The Arak Sodium Sulfate Production Plant - established in 2000;
- The Garmsar Refined Salt Production Plant - established in 2004;
- The Arak Refined Salt Production Plant - established in 2005.
The Iran Salts Mining Company is the largest producer of refined recrystallized salt and sodium sulfate, both in Iran and West Asia; whereby, the company has a vast production capacity of annually 40,000 tons of refined salt, and 90,000 tons of sodium sulfate.
Approximately 87% of the shares of the Iran Salts Mining Company are owned by Sadr Tamin Investment Company.
