For the 1st Time in Iran Mining Industry: Iranian Companies to Manufacture Drag Chain Conveyor
Tabas Parvadeh Coal (coke) Company (stock ticker symbol KAZGHAL) and Heavy Equipment Production Company (HEPCO) signed an agreement in the headquarters of Sadr Tamin Investment Company to start manufacturing drag chain conveyor in Iran.
The 16-trillion-rial deal to make ten drag conveyors was signed between KAZGHAL and HEPCO on April 18 under the guidance of TASSICO, which is stock ticker symbol of Sadr Tamin Investment Company, as demand for coal is on the rise, the Public Relations of KAGHAL reported.
Domestic production of the conveyors will speed up progress in Iran’s mining industry, especially through its contribution to the rise in production of coal and meeting domestic industries’ demand.
Drag chain conveyors are of one the most important and frequently-used devices in mining operations, which help move bulk minerals to conveyor belts. Drag chain conveyors not only reduce workers burnout but also speed up mining activities and improve its efficiency. The device has so far been imported to the country.
The agreement, which was signed thanks to improving collaboration among subsidiaries of TASSICO, will contribute to increase in coal production, which is highly needed for domestic industries. The agreement will also help save about $6m for the country thanks to decrease in imports of drag chain conveyors.
